Comment on Morning March 06 of "Daily Light on Daily Path"

Dear friend,

Saints of God are people chosen of Him to be sanctified and made fit for the Master's use now and forever. They needed to be made holy because they are by nature not that way, after having fallen in Adam into the estate of sin and misery. God joins them to His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and they become holy in Him. In Christ, they are holy because of what Christ had done on their behalf.

By now, saints have been around in this world for a long time, and there are many examples of how God deals with them in this world. We read of all these in the Holy Writ, Church History, Missionary endeavours, etc. Though we mention them together, only the Sacred History of God's Word contains the infallable record of "the way of his saints." (Pro. 2:8) God "preserveth" this way for us in the Bible.

Are you a saint of God? Do you desire, as such, for your "way" - the way of his saints? In the Exodus, this way was illustrated as "in fire by night" and "in a cloud by day." (Deu. 1:32, 33). In the days of Moses, when night time came, "the church in the wilderness" (Act. 7:38) needed light to keep warm and provide some kinds of safety, God was that "fire by night". During the day time, she needed shelter from the brazing sun, He was their "cloud by day"! All through the 40 years, He was such to them day and night. We read of many dramatic events which took place during these 40 years, but the basic day and night experiences remain the same! "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. — For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish." (Psa. 34:19; 1:6)

The way of sanctification shall never fail. We believe in the perseverance of the saints. "The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy." (Zep. 3:17)

Do you know that He is on His way here to bring us home?
