Dear friend,
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is something which we must have with us all the way of our pilgrimage, here, on earth, to up there, in Heaven. Grace speaks of God's unmerited favour in Jesus Christ our Lord. A favour is some good shown to another which one is not under any obligation to perform. When we know that we need something which we cannot insist from anyone by right, we ask for favour. Salvation and eternal blessedness is a matter of favour. Whoever bless and save us, is not under any obligation to do that to us. If one can taste that the Lord is good to him, indeed that one is blessed and favoured of the Lord.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is the favour that comes from Heaven. He was that Word which was from the beginning, without which there was nothing created. In other words, without this Word, there would have been no Creation, not universe, but the eternal blessed God Himself Alone in eternity. That very essence of Creation became a man and dwell among us!!! He brought that heavenly favour down to this very earth. All who know our Lord Jesus Christ has tasted of that favour. It tells them that the Lord is good and led them to trust in Him in all things.
Those who are at their wit's end and cannot find relief under certain circumstances, found that His grace "is sufficient for thee". In His favour, our weaknesses are no problems for Him. In fact, His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. So, weaklings like us, do indeed need the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed are indeed those who know, acknowledge, humble themselves, and go to Him for restoraton.
Such ones are bearers of His grace. They are bearers to minister His grace to others around them. They are good members of the Church, who believe in the communion of the saints. Are you a good member of the Church of Jesus Christ as you make your way to Heaven?
