Daily Light on Daily Path for Sept 27M

Dear friend,
As men, we indeed ought to be humble, yet we are often not. Man was created out of the dust of the ground. God, the Living One, created all things out of nothing. Yet, ungodly scientists say that life came out of non-life by chance, once upon a time! How proud and foolish. God's Word says, "Affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground" (Job 5:6,7). Can dusts and ashes experience sorrows and troubles, given million years of development? God breathe into man's nosrils and man became a living soul, able to experience sorrows and troubles in life.

But when great men "hand join in hand", they feel secure and confident to the point that they have the audacity to oppose the Almighty!!! They "shall not be unpunished" (Prov 16:5). Such vain confidence can also occur within the Church as well, when the waywards forsake the Word of God to "hand join in hand" for strength and manipulation against It. Though heavens and earth may pass away, but God's Word shall never pass away. Blessed are all those who trust in His Word, even though they may be alone in this world, like their Lord and Master was when led to the Cross.

A humble man is a mouldable man in the Hand of God, like a piece of clay in the potter's hand. The Lord crushes him, turns him and shapes him. The latter repents, becomes ashamed of himself and is transformed in his life. Such is the blessed end of the humble - transformed by the Grace of God.

He gives grace to the humble, but resists the proud. How do we know if we are proud or humble, in the given fact that God Almighty has spoken in this present world? What is our attitude towards His Word in this world? Do our attitudes here reveal what we think of ourselves? Are we proud or humble? May God show us, and have mercy upon us.
