Comment on Evening October 10 of "Daily Light on Daily Path"

Dear friend,

How dare any human being call God his or her father? How many human being do you and I come across which is without sin? Is sin not common among human being? This indeed is the case, that great scientists even look upon these sins as imperections which human being in the evolutionary process should gradually discard and become better growing towards perfection!

We only dare to call God our Father because He Himself has given to us "the Spirit of adoption". With such reception, we cannot help but call Him "Our Father." That was what our Lord Jesus Christ, our Elder Brother, taught us to do as well. He said, "When ye pray, say 'Our Father ...'." When you are in great trouble and would pray, how do you address God? Until you can call "Our Father" naturally and confidently, how can you be sure you have the spirit of His Son? "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God."

"Our" also suggests that we are more than one in this world, and that we need to look out for each other as we make our way to heaven. Then, it is a great joy to be able to come together and cry out, "Our Father which art in Heaven, ..." How many have you come across already? Where is a good place to discover them?

The joy of answered prayers (such a prayer as above in the Name of Jesus) is a confirmation of being in the Family of God as children. If the Lord of Heaven receive us as His children, then there is no fear of meeting anyone there.

Heaven is our home, a place of comfort and bliss, a place of rest from all our labour, a place of praise and adoration of Him Who is blessed forever and ever. Amen.
