Update on my Medical situation and Comment on Evening November 07 of "Daily Light on Daily Path"

Dear friend,

Some of you have shown much concern for my health and would like to know the outcome of my meeting with the doctors yesterday at 10:30 a.m.

They reported that my second urine test indicated that my kidney was still functioning well and so there would be less risk in the organ transplant. We can thank God for this indication of His will that I go ahead with the plan for the heart-cum-liver transplant. Dr. C. K. Tan, who heads the transplant team, told me that to find suitable heart and liver for me from a single donor may not be so easy. So I may have to wait for awhile. Meanwhile, I have to go for monthly blood test and medical check-up to update my condition. He also said that usually available organs would be given to people who are a more desperate condition. He encourged me to keep my best health as much and as long as possible.

Being put on the waiting list also mean that my travelling overseas would be more restricted. I have to inform them of my plan in advance, and take their advice seriously.

Personally, I thank God for these past months of uncertainties and waiting for clearer foot-steps. He taught me many lessons through the experiences, enriching me personally and also equipping me in my ministry for His Kingdom. I also saw His hands controlling all things to bring to pass His own good pleasures. All these give me great comfort and assurance of His love. My heart is at peace with Him in all that He has installed for me, whether it be by life or by death.

As for my loved ones, do pray for them. So far, we are all taking the matter well, trusting in Him. Do pray that we may have wisdom to prepare ourselves well for the revelation of His glorious will for each of us in this situation. We are also trusting in Him to provide for all our needs in the coming months ahead.

He is faithful. Praise His Name. Amen.

==========

Are you being tried in your Christian life now? Learn to endure it now for this is from the Lord who takes a personal interest in disciplining you. To be discipline is to live an ordered life. Such a life comes about through patient enduring of hardship designed o take away all the infirmities of life. God knows what they are and would remove them from us so that we may be better equipped for His service.

".. tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience, and experience, hop,... " To have hope in the mist of trials is most crucial and encouraging. To lose hope at such a time, is to be defeated and a stumbling block to others. Where there is hope there need not be any shame. These are all the work of the Holy Spirit to shed His love in our hearts.

So what seems to be grievous can be counted all joy to those who are disciplined by God. A life of love is a life of joy.

A crown of life awaits people who endure such trials from God out of love for Him. We live under such infirmities by the power of Christ. This is the life of Christ made manfest in our moratl bodies.

Are we the blessed ones who endure temptations in this life?
