Dear friend,
Another name for our Lord Jesus as prophesied by Isaiah is "the Prince of Peace".
As a Prince, Jesus is the active one ensuring that His Kingdom of Peace shall finally reign forever and ever. He is the only Prince who shall sit upon the throne of His Father to rule the whole world in Peace and Righteousness.
The whole world was thrown into darkness when Adam, the vice-regent of God, rebelled against Him in the Garden of Eden. A fierce war against God was started with no end in sight as far as men are concerned. "Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered *that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him." (Isa. 59:15, 16) ".. his arm brought salvation .." - the coming of the Prince of Peace! Praise the Lord!
Like the dew and the rain that fall upon the earth to water the grass and cause them to grow in greenery and refreshing sight, so is the coming of the Prince of Peace. He comes to ".. give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace; .." (Luke. 1:78,79) Behold those who are in Christ Jesus and you will see life and hope of lasting peace and joy.
The world keeps promising peace in the midst of sins and confusions to calm down its poor and confused inhabitants. But there shall be no peace to the wicked says the LORD God. The coming of the Prince of Peace is to put an end to sin and darkness. There is forgiveness with the Lord. So we must repent towards God and put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Follow Him and you shall discover the way of Peace with God.
